The architecture of the Globalstar System is designed such that you can communicate with the satellite system only if you are within an area covered by a gateway station. The larger coverage maps are an aggregate of the coverage provided by a n umber of ground stations.

Expanding coverage will be an ongoing process as new gateway stations are built. The table below shows details of the expanded coverage created by new gateway stations.
